WATCH: Karen Davila criticizes Paolo Duterte: “Hindi porket member ng first family hindi niyo ipapatawag”

Renowned newscaster Karen Davila of ABS-CBN and DZMM became passionate during her radio program and challenged Davao City Vice Mayor Paulo “Pulong” Duterte to attend the hearing during her commentary about the alleged connection of the Presidential son in smuggling.

Davila said that Paolo Duterte who’s an elected official and a member of the first family must beyond reproach in short, he must gain the full confidence and trust of the people.

The broadcaster said asked VM Duterte to attend the senate hearing and prove that all the accusations against him is not true.

Davila told Paulo that instead of criticizing Sen. Trillanes IV in Facebook, it’s better that he participate to the senate investigation and attend the probe.

“Bakit kung sino yung mga ordinaryong indibidwal, kailangang sumipot sa Senado.. Bakit po kayo[Paulo Duterte] hindi pwede?,” Davila said.

She said that if Pulong Duterte’s name was mentioned during the senate probe, he must attend the hearing to clarify his name and not let the senators defend him.

Davila even mentioned the name of Senate Blue Ribbon Committee chairman Richard Gordon who was accused by defending Paulo Duterte in the senate.

“Kung si Karen Davila binangit sa Senado, are you telling me na makakalusot ako sa senado at hindi ako sisipot, dedepensahan ako ni Senator Gordon at sasabihin eh binangit mo lang si Karen Davila, anong basis mo?” she said.

She clarified that her comment against the Vice Mayor is not personal and not trying to defend Sen. Trillanes, but as a taxpayer, she must know the truth about the alleged connection of Pulong in smuggling.

Davila also urged the senate blue ribbon committee to invite Paolo Duterte in the senate to clean his name.

“Kahit po public official o ordinaryong tao, pantay pantay kami, hindi po porket miyembro ng first family eh hindi niyo ipapatawag, yan po ang opinyon ng isang tax payer na tulad ko, sana po patas po.. ipatawag niyo lahat ng binabangit under oath sa senado.. walang takot yan” Davila told the senate.

Meanwhile, several pro-Duterte bloggers like Sass Rogando Sassot reacted on the recent comments of Karen Davila against VM Duterte.

Sasot said that Davila only wanted to help Trillanes in his mission to destroy the name of Paolo Duterte by letting the Vice Mayor grilled by him in the senate hearing, despite that Mark Taguba, one of the witness in the P6.4-B Shabu shipment from China that the ‘Davao Group’ is not involved in the illegal drug shipment.

She also challenged Davila to file a case against Paulo Duterte if the broadcaster got an evidence against the Vice Mayor.

“Karen Davila, kung may ebidensya na smuggler si Paolo Duterte at Mons Carpio, mag-sampa na ng kaso sa korte. Sabi nga diba ni Trillanes kay Gordon: Hindi korte ang senado. So anong purpose ng invitation? In aid of legislation or Trillanes’ SELF-PROMOTION?” Sasot said.
