President Rodrigo Duterte has been very vocal about his stand against television network giant ABS-CBN. In one of his interviews back in August 2017, the President said he is looking into blocking the renewal of franchise of ABS-CBN which will expire by the year 2020.

The President said that the TV network did not air his campaign ad during the 2016 Presidential election despite paying the necessary amount to place an advertisement.
In the letter, the group of employees consisting of cameramen, audio men, lights men, VTR men, and drivers are seeking the President’s help for they were kicked out from their job back in 2010 under the Aquino administration.
This is due to the group’s vision in pushing for their employment regularization in ABS-CBN so they will be able to receive necessary benefits in accordance with the law. But instead of studying their proposal, the network terminated their service.
The group said that they are looking forward to President Duterte’s vision to wipe-out all contractualization schemes in public and private sectors.
